It appears that if you, wish to own a :Highland all metal pistol, you either had to "settle" for an "Indian import", or make one from a TSR kit, BUT here is site that might "interest" you..These people made a "pair" the way they were made in the 1700s

BTW, yes I realize the "controversial opinions " surrounding the existing pistols, but here is a "project", IMHO, worthy of the "effort"
