M.29 French Artillery Sword Markings.
I have capped off my collection with this M.29 Artillery Saber. I believe it was made by the Chatellerault Arsenal but the markings are worn off the spine of the blade. Can someone tell me if that is unusual? And does anyone know if anywhere else in france made this model? I am also curious about the markings on the hilt. If anyone can tell me what the meanings of each marks are and the marks on the forte of the blade let me know. Thanks much.
