Arms & Armor Custom Stibbert Museum-Inspired Rapier
Original: 17th Century Inspired by a beautiful piece found in the Stibbert Museum in Italy, this rapier was custom made for me by Arms & Armor of Minnesota. The original is a beautiful example of elegance married to deadliness that is characteristic of the Italian style of fencing. The modern version is a beautiful example of the amazing craftsmanship and quality of the Arms & Armor team. The blade was made to fit my rather tall proportions, and even has the nice personal touch of having my initials engraved on the ricasso in my very own handwriting. The sword is no light weight, but neither is it clumsy. It is very well balanced and the tip moves deftly and with subtlety. It is blunt, and I use it regularly in practice. See our hands-on review for more information on this sword. Overall length: 50" Weight: 3 pounds Width of guard: 8.5" Blade length: 41" Ricasso length: 2" Grip and pommel: 6" Point of Balance (PoB): 4" from guard Maker: Arms & Armor of Minnesota
Inspired by an original located in the Stibbert Museum, Italy.
