This book approaches armor from a different and fresh perspective. Each chapter covers a different piece of armor - arm armor, leg armor, body armor, etc. Each chapter covers the history of that piece of armor. Poorly organized. The descriptions are in the front of the book, the line drawings are grouped at the end of the book. It would be much more useful if the description and its associated line drawing were together. Very useful data nonetheless.
