Hey guys, hope I'm not getty too off topic here but, earlier on in this thread there was some discussion about how the pommel cap was attached to the original sword which inspired Michael's creation. Well it's hard to be sure, as the only image I've seen of this sword was in black and white, and as there is no visible rivet connecting the pommel cap to the upper guard, so has anyone here considered the possibility that the pommel cap and the uppermost plate were made (cast?) in one piece? I could be way off the mark here, but It's just a theory I've had for a while.
