My last purchase (and probably for a loooooong time). Please oh Lord let her arrive to my house safe and sound (knock on wood).

I hope you don't mind Mac, but I plan to rehilt her with a nice wooden handle. Nothing outlandish, but something with a rich, chestnut brown, mildy active grain.

Last sword I bought was a slightly modified A&A GBS.

Last one I ordered was a A&A custom piece but the bill has not yet come due. It was inspired by a scetch created by Peter Johnsson of a musuem piece (Thanks Peter!). Thanks Mac for posting them:-)! I gave Craig an assortment of possibilities I liked and asked him to make one he thought would be fun to do. Took some time for Craig to choose and for him to get the OK from Peter, but I suspect work will start on it before too long.

It will be my first fully custom sword.

My last one was actually two, a customized A&A XVIIIe blade and an Al Massey XVIIIe blade. Of course it isn't really the last one but the next one is it? I've got three on order two of which should be here pretty soon.

My most recent additions are a pair from the folks at Albion last week.

First, an Albion Agincourt (type XVa) with red handle and fire blued hilt and the second a Del Tin Antiche ADT5156.

They make a fine addition hanging in my office here at work.

Yeah Chad it's the stock crossguard. I was a bit suprised as well.

Actually, what suprised me the most was the fire-blue hilt. I was expceting something like what I had seen on the Albion website or like Nathan's Crecy http://www.myArmoury.com/swor_alb_crec.html?7. But this is a very opalescent color. Inside it loks like a glossy black with a hint of blue that just does not photograph. Outdoors however in the sun it looks more like the photograph.

Newest sword I have is a deltin viking I bought specifically for a re-hilting project. Currently have a repro of the Ring hilt in the dublin museum made as my first custom job...LOL I have no money and I start a custom order...Thats addiction for ya..

Tinker XVIIIe, rebated for WMA( 1mm edge) OA 54" Blade 40", hilt 11 1/2" pommel 2" octaganol cross with side rings, Oakeshott type T pommel, blued gaurd and pommel, chocolate brown leather wrapped hilt with 5 transverse ridges.
Weight 3.75 lbs , pob 6 1/2 inches from cross, bw after ricasso 1 11/16th's, 7" ricasso. this bad boy is sweet! I love Tinkers feel for the XVIIIe.

Thanks! I like it. It is a fairly compact 'big' sword, definitely designed for armoured combat.

Other than the one size fits all approach taken with the scabbard design and the elegant "Made in India" stamp courtesy of Windlass, I'm really liking this replica and feel thus far that I have had the pleasure of receiving optimal bang for my limited buck. It's light. It's fast. It's well balanced. Woot!!

Any more piccies of that sword, Im having one of then custom built for me (mainly because the pommell on the repros is to crisp and nothing resembling the origional). It would be great and muchly appriciated if You could take a shot of the blade profile.
