Well, that was ... um ... interesting.

Very heavy-handed on the cgi, would have liked to have seen more of the Czech Republic locations and less of the results of special effects computers.

Anyway, the dvd went onwards to Matt C this morning.

Big thanks to Matt K.!

You're welcome, Hal. Glad to see its being passed on ...
Been meaning to post an update on this but life keeps getting in the way. Anyway, got the DVD from Hal a "few" weeks back. I only had a chance to watch it once. Overall a good film. It won't be winning any Oscars, but it did keep my attention and i enjoyed it. I haven't read any of the books so can't compare. If/when it's released in the US on DVD I'll buy a copy.

If anyone else is interested in seeing this, send me a pm with address info. If not, I'll be getting it back to it's rightful owner (thanks Matthew).

Matt
It's been a little while but I'm ready to move this DVD along; it has served its purpose (reference material for a project).

Anybody who wants it, PM me; otherwise within the next few days I'll be sending it on back to Matthew Korenkiewicz. Props to him and to Matt Corbin for forwarding it on to me!
I had the good fortune of attending a workshop with The Society of American Fight Directors this summer at which Richard Ryan, the fight choreographer for Solomon Kane, was one of the instructors. We all watched it together one evening. It was fun to have him there to chat about all the interesting bits.
It was not a great movie by any means, but I had a lot of fun watching it mainly because I did not have any expectations of grandeur.
