It is made with care and upon close inspection has a perfect handmade character to it. You can tell nothing about it involved a CNC or CAD program and I love that aspect of it. I bought a sharp sword as my first Euro sword to help get me excited and inspired to study HEMA. I am hoping to commission another sword with Jeremy at a later date.

That is a very nice sword you have there. Do you have any additional info on sword in particular weight and pommel construction, is it peened specifically.

Here's some more specs for you:

Blade Width- 2 3/8 Inches at guard, tapering to 1 inch, 4 inches from point.
Center of Balance- 3 Inches from guard.
Center of Percussion- 20 1/4 inches from guard.
Weight- 2.5 Lbs.
50% distal taper- Blade Thickness- 6mm at guard, tapering to 3mm at point.

The pommel is mild steel, the tang is hot preened with a rivet block I believe it is called?

Thanks Bryan. I have two more similar swords finishing this spring/summer. Another with Jarkko (the one who made the above), and a piece with Robert Moc. So hopefully those will be finishing up in the next few months.

I just received from Sonny Suttles of Valiant Armoury his Roman 'Praetorian' gladius.

A rather flashy, but damn fine piece, IMO. I'll be posting a 'mini-review' soon.

Not exactly a sword but nice nonetheless. A hand forged Aunlaz type dagger. I got it for 70 bucks off of a guy from the Armor Archive, it's made from an old railroad spike and is quite sharp, paper cutting sharp in fact. It's bevel is only partially secondary in some spots on the bottom but mostly just a primary bevel. It's only 11 inches which I am unsure if thats too small for a dagger but I am rather satisfied with it, it has this hand forged look thats quite aged. Plan to use it with my 13th century kit because daggers of this type were used as early as the 12th, and they're even featured on the Maciejowski bible.

I just rec'd a Burgundian from Albion with requested red grip a few days ago. I couldn't be more pleased in all regards.

My new slightly modified Albion Ritter, the crossguard is flat instead of round and the bottom lobe on the pommel is slightly shorter due to being taken apart and put back together. It still handles rather well and didn't affect the balance much at all. I actually prefer the flat crossguard more than I do the round one, if it had the Albion Templar's crossguard it would be even cooler but this will do.

Interesting Ritter modifications. Where did the different guard come from if you don't mind me asking? I think it looks good.

It's not a Templar it's a Ritter, I bought it off of someone who modified it himself a friend of mine known as Joe Metz. The deal I got for it was good too. I actually like the flat crossguard more than then round one honestly, I am not sure if it's hammered or ground, but this swords actually quite light despite these modifications. Now to get a scabbard for it, and the grip is period black as I looked at it in the light, it's actually such dark brown that its almost black and I read period black was never really true black but dark brown. If it had the Templar's crossguard it would look even better IMO but thats cause I like big crossguards.

Purchased the blade from a forum member, cleaned it up some, and hilted it myself. It's my first hilting of anything, and it's rough-looking, but it cuts just fine, and it was only ever supposed to be a beater sword in the first place. It's an Albion Geibig 4 (Jarl, etc...) blade that's been ground a bit too narrowly.
