A certificate of authenticity with a signture from Peter Johnsson would be even better.

Way back when the NG line first came out, the first 25 (I think that was the number) of each model were supposed to come with signed certificates. I've had my Sovereign and Baron for many moons. Both were in their respective initial runs. Still waiting on my certificates. :)

At one point, they were going to do something to the maker's mark or something to signify visually in which year the sword was made. That never got off the ground.

Too bad that didn't pan out. At least for the Museum Line it would seem appropriate. Never too late!
I don't have any money for a new sword at the moment. But if Albion re-released the Valkyrja tomorrow, I'd get it. I'd beg, borrow, or steal, but I'd get it. It's the only Viking era sword I really have any desire to own. I know you can still get them used from time to time but it's just not the same for me. I like knowing I'm the original owner of something...it's a flaw I have.

I keep wondering when the Kingmaker is going to sell out. It is limited to 100, and seems to be a popular model with lots of rave reviews. I know its' price keeps it from being as popular as something like the Crecy, but I'd still think they would be getting close to 100 by now.

Welp, there it is, it is pricy but comes with a nice custom scabbard as well

What does 'Valkyrja Like Blade' mean? That doesn't look like an Albion grip.

Squire Line blade with non-Albion hilt. Does not look anywhere close to a $1,799.00 sword to me but that is just my own opinion.

I apologize, I am usually sharper than this.
The design on the Ebay one's grip and the pommel Is different from the Albion Valkyrja. On the Albion, it's a dragon. On this other one, I'n not sure - horse or dog?

Albion Valkyrja
Yeah, this is fairly clearly just a very similar Suontaka-style sword. It's a popular style as it's more ornamental than your usual run of Viking swords; some folks just like a bit extra bling. The Valkyria doesn't have a brass ring in the middle of the grip like that, and its guard and pommel castings are rather better done. I'm guessing this was a custom piece someone had done up with an Albion blade.
