Maybe type XVI with very unusual fullers that seem close to the guard like deep hollow grinding with a thickening near the edge. The same fullers look more like true fullers to me as they get closer to the reinforced point. ( Not forgetting the narrow and short central fuller !? )
It does seem like at least some kind of mix of type XIV and XV that would define a type XVI :confused:
Or maybe its just too different to easily fit in the
Oakeshott typology: He might have easily created a new type seeing this one assuming that it is not a totally unique piece. ( Can there be a type if only one sword like it is known :?: :lol: )
