ok new to the forums! i am looking for pictures of pole arms, preferably axes, with closeups of heads and hafs (not needed, just would like). This is so i cant interperet the image and make my own for re-enacting. Some extant examples, or paintings depicting the weapon show would be great also.

Regards,
Matthias

"this [fight] looks curious, almost like a game. See, they are looking around them before they fall, to find a dry spot to fall on, or they are falling on their shields. Can you see blood on their cloths and weapons? No. This must be trickery."

Try this thread. It focusses more on other staff weapons but you might find interesting stuff.

Here are few other threads with various information and links

Also visit Hermann Historica and Cherny's . Search through their catalogues. There is a lot of nice stuff with pertinent information and high quality photographs.

Here is a sample form Hermann Historica.German 14-15th c

I hope that helps.
