Pole arms site
Just got pointed to this site thought I would share...

http://www.armabohemia.cz/

Don't know about the quality but I do know that the glaive looks a lot like the ones Blaz posted earlier... and it's exactly the one I want..
I've wondered about their quality too.

Russ, I volunteer you to test it for us!!! :D

I fully intend to... just as soon as I get a couple of more scabbards done this weekend.. ;)
Arma Bohemia has been discussed before:

http://www.myArmoury.com/talk/viewtopic.php?t...ma+bohemia

They have some new items on the list, but the prices are still a bit high for my pocket. I mean, I can hardly afford products by Pavel Moc and Radek Lobko, and Arma Bohemia also sells their swords, but with higher prices. If possible, I would try to contact the maker directly, but I guess it's not possible always.
Hmmm must have missed them the first time around. That's okay glad I picked up on them this time...
Is it just me or does their poleaxe look almost indentical to the A&A Pole Axe? Though supposedly the Arma Bohemia poleaxe is around 70 inches while the A&A one is 57... but didn't A&A give the figure of 67 inches before they changed site design?
Benjamin;

Just measured my A & A Pole Axe and it's 67" from butt to end of the spike point.

57" must be a typo because that would be very short: Not impossible but almost closer to the length of a long war hammer.

An extra 3" for the Arma Bohemea is not significant. I'm fairly certain that longer ones by about a foot were also used.

The designs may be based on the same historical piece or a very similar one.
Thanks, that's good to know. 57 inches seemed a bit short to me.

But aren't most single handed war hammers around 24 inches or so? Some two handed weapons are short. The A&A Hungarian Axe and Dane Axe are both supposedly under five feet.
Benjamin;

Your are right 57" does seem a bit long for a onehanded Warhammer but a bit too short for a Pole Axe: This is why I sort of
" fudged " by making a point of saying " long Warhammer. ( Or a very short Pole Axe )

How about a hand and a half Warhammer :p :lol:

The best explanation is 57" is a TYPO :eek: :cool:
Yeah, it says 67" now. Perhaps I was just blind earlier.
