Russ;

Those horsebows look interesting to me and should be great conversation starters at a bow shooting range: Should contrast nicely with all the high tech pulley bows.

Almost an art object and not just a tool to shoot arrows with.
Thanks for the link Jared! Jean, I totally agree... but the prices on the horsebows are ouchy when I don't know if she is going to stick with it...

Hey Jean,
Jason brought out his Horsebow on the 15th for the RT. They are really interesting and hard to get used to shooting! But, man are they nice looking

Eric, is that the hunter, one of the turkic bows? It looks great!! As soon as my hun gets here, I'll get some pictures up.
Hey Mike,

I'm not really sure, If Allan wants to chime in ;) I do know he said it was a Mongolian shortbow, designed to be used from horseback, drawn with the thumb and pointer finger(i think thats the one), you only draw it to the front of your face.....and he bought it from a man who makes these in the Checz. Republic. It was a neat toy!
Even though I don't know how to ride a horse thats probably one of my favourite all time bow designs. Acheologists have found those horn parts on the end of that type of bow (because the rest of the bows mainly rotted away) from well before BC. I have seen footage of modern renacotors who can fire several arrows and hit a reasonably distant target while riding past on horseback. They hold 3-5 arrows in thier bow-hand nock-up and just grab them, draw them and fire them in one motion one by one.
THE HUN BOW................
Hello all. I just got word that my Hun is in. here's the picture that horsebows sent me. mines the one on the top. the horn is a #42 and is up for grabs!!!! As so as I can get some free time I'll take her down to the range and put her through the paces. If the moderators will allow it, I'll even write a review.

blessings
michael
