Question I recently obtained an old stiletto which have worn anchor like marks on each side of the blade. These marks are partial, and are similar, but not identical to marks on a late 17th century backsword I have had for several years. I have looked high and low and cannot find any reference to these "anchor like" marks to identify origin. Can anyone help ID these marks. This does not have a triangular blade, but a 4-sided blade, but to be honest, I do not know which was more common. Any assistance is greatly appreciated. thanks!
