Axe dimensions
Does anyone have specific dimensions on any original Type L or Type M briedox heads? I'm trying to do a writeup on longaxes, and I've just hit the wall. Even just an average thickness and weight. I've contacted multiple museums via
e-mail, but they don't seem to get what I'm asking, or they want money for the info. It's maddening. I'd like to be more specific than just saying "it was a wide, thin axe" - that just falls short to me.

Anyhow, the museum of London tells me there are NO originals in US museums. How sad is that?
there's a bunch in my local museum, but they are behind glass... :\
On the other hand, I'm a return customer, and they like me...
I could see what I could do...
That would be awesome Ellis. I haven't had a lot of interaction with museums before, and I mst say my first impressions have been dissappointing. Perhaps it's a distance issue, or perhaps I just don't know how to work with that type of institution.
