Cool. That makes 5 of us then. :) Hopefully Mark and Don can make it, too.

We'll start at 2:00 or whenever people get there. We'll cut whatever we have on hand and whatever folks bring. I'll have some noodles and some cardboard tubes. We can cut and socialize until we get hungry, then I'll fire up the grill.

The weather should be nice (gorgeous in fact). I'll pick up brats and hot dogs, and maybe burgers (or some combination). If anyone has special dietary needs, let me know and I'll do what I can to accomodate them. I'll have water, soda, sports drinks and snacks on hand, too. I do have cats now, so if anyone has allergy issues, be aware that there are 8 legs of feline fury running around.

I'd love to see your Borderwatch, as well as check out the Viceroy and Knight again, plus whatever else you have lying around.

By the way, Allan Senefelder says you still need to send your MT arms back to him for retro-fitting. :)

Don't think I'll be able to make this one guys. :( Slaughter a few pool noodles for me.

Wish it wasn't so far from here, as a big group cutting party would be a blast, and I'd love to meet more poeple with the interest. As it is, Patrick K. and I had planned on doing some noodle and tatami slaughtering ourseleves on Saturday (do you think we can wear ourselves out on 25 noodles and 40 tatami mats? hehe). I think you guys are going to have the better weather for it. Best of luck and have FUN!

Be sure to take LOTS of pictures for us who can't make it!

When I got up that morning, I never thought that later on I'd be holding an actual 15th C sword in my hands! What a joy! :D

Ted, I really enjoyed checking out your A&A pieces, and I enjoyed chatting with you, too. Next time, I intend to get around to cutting with that Schloss Erbach. I'm afraid that Don's collection arriving disrupted my cutting schedule, just a bit.

Ted examines a medeival Type XV. This was a river find, so it isn't in the greatest condition. Still, holding a piece like this is a memorable experience.

The smallsword in front has very intricate decoration, and the gold inlay is still visible in much of it. The complex-hilt behind still has its leather grip.
