That's a nice sword, particularly the DN version. And maybe next year I could do a special or sale on it........but right now, that fuller could become a time issue that throws everything off.......so not this one.......

Well, shipping might be a challenge. USPS probably wouldn't accept the package with both swords, and it would be iffy with one or the other......
Would have to use a private courier, like maybe FedEx, and that's a bit pricier on the shipping. Other than that caveat, have no problem shipping to Oz or New Zealand........

Great get back to me so that I can throw some money in your direction and we can make it an official order since it's still at the 99.9% done deal stage.
Oh, USPS works fine with me if it's your usual prefered shipping method. ( Oh, and the Canadian dollar is currently higher than the U.S. dollar ! Much easier to buy U.S. made swords than a few years back when the Canadian dollar was equal to
60 cents U.S. :D )

The permanent assembly was one of those "initiatives" I was going to start early this year, that got derailed in the late winter/ early spring disasters..... Temporarily derailed..........
However, I really don't think I want to go there on this sale..... next year, with the debt gone, the Navy work a distant memory, and a totally reorganized website and communication setup, yeah, that'll be something to do again......

I've been ranting and raving to my wife about that sword since I got to handle it at the 06 Atlanta blade show. I guess it's time to take the plunge.
Are you going to go with the umbrella shaped pommel like in the picture or the round pommel version?
When do you think the sale might go live? Might take me a bit to get the cash together.

Yes I might also prefer the 1403 with the round pommel although the umbrella shaped one wouldn't be a deal breaker for me.
( Since I mentioned the 1403 first I hope I have first dibs on one. ;) :lol: )

It does seem like a popular choice doesn't it?! That's funny to me because the last time I talked to gus not too many of those had sold . . . If I remember correctly I think it was only 1 (I'm sure Gus will correct me if I'm wrong).
The AT1403 is one of two swords that I regret not buying on the spot. I can't say enough good things about this sword.

It's like little kids: A toy truck in the corner of a room is glanced at occasionally but none of the kids take the extra step to actually play with it until one kid picks it up. Then suddenly all the kids want to play with it as that first kid seems to be having much to much fun. :p :lol:

The AT 1403 is on one of Gus's web site under the category of " WARSWORDS " and I kept looking at it once or twice every week but NOT taking the step to buy it.
The sale sort of decided me to suggest it and now a lot of the other " KIDS/COLLECTORS " are waking up to the idea that this is a great sword. ;) I have my Christian Fletcher/AT 1435 and it's also an impressive swords that hasn't sold well for mysterious reasons !? I think that in part it's a marketing problem and the current stagnant web sites with few updates that is contributing to slow sales of what should be the best sellers in my opinion.
This sale should help pay off the equipment dept and Gus will be able to give more attention to his sword business.
Anyway, I will be glad to help by getting this sword. ;) :lol:

So, of the above two handed swords, which would you recommend as the best tatami cutter? Not that this poor boy is promising to buy anything, mind you! But these days, most of my sharps tend to be of the thrusting variety (XVa types, mostly), and I wouldn't mind having something a little more cut oriented, if I can afford it...

I have been hovering around your site waiting for updated prices to buy my first sword from you. I would be highly inclined to buy the 1403 war sword or another long sword if they went on sale. Just let me know if and when you decide to do it for sure.

Its going to happen, but the windstorm and other things have kind of distracted things a bit. Some minor organizing yet, maybe start this weekend or Monday? I'll inform things like minor details here.......
Websites should go down to one, and that one should be "active' early next year. Part of getting this business reorganized......

I like all three longswords, in fact could deal with any one of the three in a cutting outing. The 1566 though is more spatulate, and has a "flatter" geometry from the cop to the tip. And yes, it does appear to take less energy to cut with than the other two........
