Note if one is resharpening a sword that is still basically sharp but only need the edge to be refreshed one would try to be very conservative as to how much material to take off and a touch up is very different in scale from taking and unsharpened sword and putting an edge on it.
With my Albions a very light touch with a diamond hone or a white ceramic rod and at times just burnishing the edge with a smooth but very hard steel is all that is needed and one can make the secondary bevel so narrow as to be almost invisible, and with more work one can round the transition from the secondary bevel to main bevel in the same way the sword came from Albion.
