Brilliant tutorial as always Ben. You just don't know how much I appreciate these detailed guides. My only question is - where do you get your wire?

I get my silver wire from Otto Frei jewelry supply and any hardware store for the copper.

How and when is the inlay done with respect to heat treat?

The inlay is done after heat treating the blade. This blade was differential-tempered. In the pictures in the tutorial, you can see where I lightly etched the blade so I could see where the hard and soft steel was.

Big Grin Nice tutorial. I use broken drill bits as engravers. What are angles of faces on those engravers you have?
