What does it say anyway?
Okay would anyone care to tell me what the inscription on the Edward III from Arms and Armor says? My wife is mocking me because I ordered the thing and don't know. She's wondering if it's latin profanity... :)

Russ, google is your friend!
Russ,
Did a quick search on google , under " Order of Garter" , from this URL http://www.royal.gov.uk/output/page490.asp
the translation is " Shame on him who thinks this evil" from the following motto "'Honi soit qui mal y pense' . Cool sword.

James
Thanks James!
Hey Russ, did you get your version of this new toy yet?
No! Darn the luck. I'm certainly not going to bump Chris and Craig and the boy's elbows though. Honestly I'm not sure which one I'm more excited about, the Edward III (Russ version), the katzbalger, or my very own copy of The Sword in Hand. Sigh. I hate waiting... :)
Just as a side note, I don't want anyone thinking that the fine folks over at A&A are not hitting delivery dates or anything suddenly. My Edward III has a fair amount of customization which I have no doubt has caused no end of headaches for those guys.

I've been told you ordered it with a titanium blade and a grip made of beef jerky. Is this true?
That's absolutely correct, I'm also making sure that they actually include a piece of the one true cross (you would not believe how much inflation has affected the price of those things) in the pommel and have insisted that they put the Andrea Ferara signature on the blade... in Klingon...
Russ
Russ,
Did you ask them to for the fruit-bowl-of-death cross, and the inward pointing spikes on your titanium blade?

James
Curses! I forgot! I shall remedy that at once. I'm thinking of getting them to adding a big elvish inscription on the blade as well as the Andrea Ferara signature. I think I'm going to call the sword Jerkythien which means Jerkyleaf in Sindarian.
