In the next 6 months I hope to buy the following two swords:

A&A Black Prince
A&A Edward III Sword

Also have 3-custom long swords being made by John at Odin Blades.

I have the A & A Black Prince and it's one of my favourite handling swords that can be used equally well one or two handed.

The massive pommel and the guard shape are very pleasing. :D Just saying that it's one of the classic swords that one doesn't regret buying. ;)

Seems to be currently in stock for immediate delivery i.e. NO waiting months for a custom sword to be finished. ;)
I definintely need a new longsword trainer in the next couple months. Possibly an Albion Meyer http://www.albion-swords.com/swords/albion/ma...meyer.htm, though a couple of us have talked about getting together and buying several Ensifers http://ensifer.carbonmade.com/projects/96362#1 to save shipping.

Eventually, I want ot have enough in my budget to get an Albion Markgraf:

Since they haven't actually begun construction on any (from what I can tell), I assume I have time before I need to have the downpayment ready....

The Markgraf has been tempting me forever. Of course, it also hasn't gone into production for forever, so the temptation is still safely theoretical...

I think a couple of practice messers may be on the agenda soon, but not quite yet.
I'm not planning on getting anything else except for some small stuff (under $200) for the next year or two. Me and my wife are buying a house and after my rather extravagent bullock dagger I am "forbidden" from buying anything else till we get some house repairs done. :-)
I don't know if I will be able to do so, but I would love to get type X sword, I'm not to fussy about the pommel but something from the early stages would be nice, a viking spear head and a hauberk.
Thanks for all the great replies.
It is really interesting to hear where everyone is going with their collections.
Thanks for all the helpful replies.

For your information two of the swords have sold (for around 1/2 price)

The Tree Sword and the Left Handed Hatchet Point Cutlass have sold.

Congratulations to the new owners.

The Sword offer is still in effect for a little over a week.

There are two swords left (for a limited time) Let me know what you would pay for them today.
Tough to say...

I likely won't be picking much up in the next 6 months unless my money situation gets a lot better... but you never know. However... this is what I am focused on for my collection in the future.

I'd like to get a XVa and maybe an XV.... I've had my eye on the Albion Merc for a long time.

I need a Dao and a Jian Sword... I've looked at a couple but not settled on one of either yet. So hard to find good affordable options for Chinese weapons.

I'll get a German Dagger from A&A to match my German Rapier at some point... and there are a few other items from A&A like the Norland axe and Viking Spear I'm interested in.

I have a project I've talked to Mad Dwarf Workshop about before... I've had a couple of their swords and own a Seax by them now... but they are super busy. When that gets done will depend on when David tells me he has time. ;)

I plan to have scabbards made for many of my swords that do not have them.

From you, Ben, I've considered a Cutlass and a Saber for some time... when money permits we will likely talk about this. :D
I'm planning very soon to put my Albion Crecy up for sale on myArmoury. So, I'm moving in the other direction with my hobby.
Thanks fro the great response.

Just a note about the 3rd part of the survey all the pieces have sold. As a result of the information I recieved I will be changing some aspects of Privateer Armoury to better serve the Arms and Armour community.
In the next 6 months, I plan on getting new body armor.

I also have 2 swords on commission, but not sure if that counts as future purchase as I kinda already bought them and waiting for them to get finished before paying them off :P . And one of them wont be ready in 6 months anyways.

Also need a new blunt.

I also have plans to get a dagger bare blade from albion for a make a hilt project althought that maybe outside the 6 month window.

Oh and I should order an atrim from Tom.

And of course, I tend to buy cheap things that interest me that goes on ridiculous sales...like the pilsen rapier at MR deal of the day yesterday. Still have the hanwei mort and bone handle rapier on that list...along with the windlass type XIV (although that last one may not need a sale really).
I purchased the leaf broadsword during the survey. Ben was great, communications was fantastic, the sword is gorgeous, shipping was lightning fast, even the box he shipped it in was custom.

Ben thanks for the opportunity to purchase such nice piece at such a good price
