Generalmajor Schleppegrell was a Norwegian that had chosen Denmark after Norway was ceded to Sweden in 1814/15. He died in that attack.
Another Norwegian in the Danish army was Generalmajor Olaf Rye. Here painting by August Jandorff i 1895. Rye lead the 5'th brigade at the breakout-battle of Fredericia in 1849, where he was killed but had secured Danish victory.

Olaf Rye is also the world first ski jumper with a measured length. Modest 9,5 meter in Norway 1809, but it was a small hill.

Portrait and info come from The Dayton Art Institute:
"This full-length and larger-than-life-sized portrait of a young dandy, once thought to be a self-portrait, most certainly dates from Ferdinand Bol's years in Rembrandt van Rijn's studio. It would seem to be inspired by several of Rembrandt's self-portraits and other works of the same period. Rembrandt's Reconciliation of David and Absalom of 1642, in the collection of the Hermitage in St. Petersburg, uses almost identical objects to the ones found in Bol's portrait. In the aforementioned Rembrandt and in Bol's portrait, a quiver of arrows, a heavily embroidered velvet tunic, and a velvet scabbarded sword are the studio props evidently shared by master and pupil."

Talk about an image with haunting qualities... chilling the way he stands there, both stoic and proud, the slain body of his opponent layed down at his feet... gruesome yet impressive.

It's definitely a picture in the heroic style ;)
By the way Olaf Rye was also a prominent collector of weapons and guns. His collection is at Kastellet today. [As usual impossible to find any pictures of weapons on the net from most Danish museums]
Cossacks from Lviv (or Russian Lvov). Here those in favour of Ukrainian Nationality
[The Kuban Cossack host - that see themselves as descended from the Zaporozhian Cossacks - favours Russia in general, but those in favour of Ukraine would likely call themselves Zaporozhian Cossacks]

Check out the 2 handed saber (?) the guy ion the left is holding. |
I think that's a straight two-handed sword blade bending under its own weight, not a curved blade as such: http://myArmoury.com/talk/viewtopic.php?t=26886&highlight=
Surprised this one wasn't added already.
