I have been interested in Japanese pole arms for some years.
Have just two Naginata and three yari, plus Knutsen's book on the subject. This is a fascinating subject but again not a great deal written in English .
The most interesting I have is a 24" Yari signed and dated , while the oldest is a socket Yari, certainly Koto. These weapons would appear to requer a greater degree of skill than most Nihonto......................your thought and comments would be greatly appreciated.
Will answere all when we return from the land of the setting sun.
Eek!
