Hi folks

A gentleman, Eoin Cummings, posted a For Sale ad in the SFI Classifieds a few weeks back (concerning a couple of baskethilts) in which he asked for help in identifing exactly what he had, and what they might be worth, etc!

In the process of helping him (there were several of us) he'd sent me a bunch of better quality photos of the swords, as well as a few shots of 2 Scot pistols, a nice old musket, and even a few older reproduction swords he's looking to sell !
(he also sent me some shots of another baskethilt, a horseman hilt, to add to the group)

Anyways ... as the pieces turned out to be pretty nice ones I decided to put together an album on my PictureTrail site to show them off (with Eoin's permission of course). I've no idea where he's at in regards to selling this stuff , other than hearing he's been overwhelmed with potential offers, but I think they are worthy of checking out !

You can view the album at this link :

Hi Mark

It seems Eoin inherited these pieces and does not have too much information concerning their background ?
I'd imagine he has lots of offers to buy, by now, but ya never know ..... ?
The two-hand claymore does look to be quite a nice reproduction, and has that good old 'aged look' to the metal, etc!
Try sending him a PM via the SFI messaging system and perhaps he will let you know the deal ?

Good luck, Mac
