Hey y'all! Lurker of many years emerging from the shadows with a question for everybody involved in reenactment, SCA, HEMA and any martial art with serious use of bladed weapons: what are your favorite grips?

Use any criteria you like - looks pretty, teaches good habits, historical significance - but I'm especially interested in what people find feels best in the hand, both for comfort and intuitive use.

So yeah! Which grips feel best to y'all? What do you find helps edge alignment? Pictures particularly welcome, but any input gratefully accepted. Looking forward!
