I commissioned these with Jiri Klepac in the Czech Republic. Jiri and I toyed with a number of deisgns, but the early "Ash" gaunts, the Black Prince gaunts, and the more traditional hour-glass gaunts. I finally decided to go for a classic: the gaunts associated with the Churburg #13 harness. The original is missing the finger plates, so the finger as somewhat speculation, though I think in keeping with the design of the piece. These gaunsts are on their way to me as I write. I'll write up a review after I receive them and glove them.

Nice. Those are far too pretty to hit someone in the face with.

It is obvious that you only hit pretty people with fine looking gauntlets like these ! Razz

Seriously , they look very nice indeed. I like the decoration too. Many people make nice gauntlets of this pattern and then screw up the brass work, but these look very nice indeed. I will be interested to hear how much movement you have with the rider plate at the knuckles when you get them. Great looking gauntlets !

Thanks for the pictures.

Regards as ever,

Russ
