Actually, Jeremiah, the skill and talent it took to do what Vince does can only come from God, the devil can't even win a fiddling contest .
Vince has a great relationship with the Lord, and methinks it's his glory that guides everything in Vince's life !

I love horn and bone grips on guns, swords, knives, whatever. Not only do I love the choice of grip material but also the overall design, shape and proportion of this sword. If I had my choice of anything Vince has ever made this might very well be the one I'd choose. It really speaks to me.

I was rather intoxicated (the sixteen men of Tain will do that to ya) when I wrote that post. I certainly did not mean to imply anything negative about Mr. Evans, his beliefs, or his craft, all of which I have no doubt are first-rate.

Very Nice work From Mr. Evans as usual. I really like the fact that he doesn't limit himself to just european work. It's interesting to note that on this sword, the handle is the only thing that's been lengthened when compared to the original. That Mehmet must have had quite a reach and strong wrists :eek: .
Patrick, I agree that this one is definitely a top 2 contender. I also love that Kilij he did a while back.

This sword is exquisite,
I am especially drawn to the design on the guard which to me looks rather Tolkienesque. This coming from me is a great complement. I really dislike all of the LOTR swords out there but I think Vince may have the skill to design a Tolkienesque sword that could speak to my imagination. Something elegant and ethereal- just like the wonderful design on this swords guard. This being said I know that Vince sticks with historic designs and I commend him for this.
