"Sword" Identification
Hi! I am new to this.

I have a 'sword' that we bought at auction a while ago. I am interested in learning anything you might tell me about it. There were other things from Africa in the same collection, so I guess it might be from Africa. It looks handmade, and the leather on the handle is very brittle so its got some age to it.

I have a picture attached that might help.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Gail

Thank you.
wow
wow this is new to me O.o
I've never seen the like, but it looks to me like it could have been made more for ceremonial purposes or as some kind of herb chopping tool than as a weapon...
DON't take my word for it though.
