Perfect for beginners. Abart explains how to fight with the Langes Schwert in the german tradition. While doing so, he mixes serveral old masters like Liechtenauer into one fighting style. Some fencer do not approve of this, but the outcome is a coherent fightingstyle, easy to learn. There are lots of pictures of the stances and fighting mechanisms.

Well, it's written in german, but contains a complete survey of the medieval everyday life. Borst tells us about craftmans and cities, poor peoples and monks as well as knights and their castles. I recommend it if your are capable of the german language and interested in the real medieval life and not the hollywod one.
