Desktop Wallpaper
Armour of Charles V, circa 1525

Description
This desktop wallpaper features the armour of Charles V, attributed to Kolman Helmschmid (1470/71-1532). It is generally referred to as the armour de bordes adiamantados (with diamond-studded borders) in reference to its most obvious decorative feature.

The neck-guard (haute-piece) of the original harness features the letters "KD", most likely referring to Karolus Divus (the Devine Charles). This image replaces the original mark with the myArmoury.com letter "A" insignia.
