Sean, you don't happen to have a picture of these spring-clips? I'm not entirely sure what you mean. Since I have a halberd and some other polearms it would be nice to be able to have them on display too. Good idea to have some kind of fastening for the longer weapons. Don't want to have stuff like that falling over and making a mess!

Funy, I too was thinking that pegs would cover less of the sword at the junction of the blade and hilt/ricasso section. In Eric Hejdström's design, it is extremely functional and secure, however, for display purposes, I agree with the pegs since it hides less of the sword. I was just thinking the same thing. However, I'm not sure I follow the rest of it... I'll try and read that second part again.... As you can see in the other vertical display, the swords simply lean on the rack... I'm not opposed to something that simple... My only concern with leaning rather than suspension, is that the sword tip sits on the wood and not sure if that is bad over time...
I'm meeting with the wood guy tonight about my subwoofers under construction, and I was hoping to bring him a design in the next few hours as well...
Hey where did that post go ?? I was responding to a post about using pegs and it is gone...

I finished 2 pole racks... I'll post them shortly.
Next on my list are a few wall mounted racks: a couple for swords and another for maces and flails.
