Hey guys,
Mike Harris was kind enough to post a video of some cuts he made after we sharpened the Castile.
Note: The first run of the Castile came with a secondary bevel. Some where very sharp and others not so much.
Using a slack belt grinder we are able to put an edge on the Castile so that anyone who wants to can cut soft targets. (Water bottles, Tatami, foam noodles, etc....)
Please always be sure to seek proper training before ever attempting to make any cuts with any sword. Also, never ever cut alone.
Swords are dangerous and should be used only with proper care.
With that said, here's the link.

Just tried to register over at Sword Forum....but was told they are not accepting registrations, try back in several weeks! I have never registered there because their main focus (asian weapons) doesn't hold my interest. I find it odd that they would lock their registration after you started this great cross-forum contest! You may want to email them about this as I can see it will prevent the overall intent of your generosity (which is bringing different people together from the different forums).

That's it.
No more entries will be accepted from the time of this post forward.
We will hold the drawing today and post the results later this evening.
Thanks for all the participation.
We will do this again in early '09 for the Kriegschwert.
Good luck to all of you.

An effective form of Santeria? Probably not...
On the other hand, I believe rubbing the lucky butt might gain someone a considerable advantage....

Well there has been some confusion. I guess some people took the Dec 15th Drawing date for a deadline.
We have received several entries today after my earlier post with people saying they thought that today was the deadline to enter. So, in the spirit of Christmas, and in order to not exclude anyone; we will except entries until Midnight tonight. Central time (Texas time)
After that NO more, Scrooge will appear and your entries will be given to the Grinch so he can steal your Christmas trees.
Drawing to take place in the am (Texas time) ummm sometime after midnight tonight.
Thanks
