Hey guys, I am having the worst time trying to find plans for a Heater Shield.
For History we have a project where we are supposed to don period clothing and make artifacts and such..
I am being a Templar. As such, I am going to make the shield in my Carpentry class (As I currently have no funds of my own) and before we make anything we need to first present a plan.

Do you guys know where I could find a good plan? Or post/link any if you have them?
I'd greatly appreciate it.
(If there's a thread for DIY things and such, I'm sorry that I missed it and you can just send me there.)

Edit: Also, the main wood we work with is pine, if that information is of any worth.

Hi Michael,

Not sure if this exactly what you are looking for but I have some plans for building shields using plywood. If nothing else you might pick up an idea or two.

Thanks Ron, I'm pretty sure I can use this. I'll just glue and clamp a few pieces together and cut it and whatnot.

Now all I need is to find a plan for swords. I'm sure I could just do the sword on my own, but no, Carpentry requires a plan.

Thanks again Ron.

Their tutorial on heater shield proportions is great for getting the curve right, no matter how big or small your shield.
