Hi All,
Toby Capwell from the Wallace contacted me earlier in the year for a sword scabbard and byknife set for a sword made by Josh Davis over in the States. This was to be worn at a week long joust at the Middle ages centre in Denmark.
The sword was a beautifully executed copy of one from this art work and the byknives and chape finial were to match the sword. I also made a rainguard for the sword.
I hope you like it.

Nah ... don't like it: love it! Great to see more people doing chappes / rainguards - and that must be the most 'pimped up' example we've seen on these boards ... nice stuff, Tod!

Briefly considered like, quickly swept through love and now I am now deeply entrenched in LUST..
Really stunning work .... compliments the beautiful hardware.

I've not heard of the sword maker before. |
It is a lovely sword. I'm with you on wanting it Nathan. For your reference, here's a link to Josh's website.

I don't see any swords on it but he does have some pictures of some very well done armor. Beautiful sword with a beautiful scabbard to match. My compliments to you Leo.

Ah, now I've put two and two together. :) We were first turned on to Josh by Craig Johnson of Arms & Armor in this thread!
I received written permission from Josh to photograph his armour on display at the Augsburg College library (Minneapolis, Minnesota) quite a while ago. I hope it's still there as I haven't got around to it yet! Josh was a undergraduate in Medieval Studies at the time. It looks as if his work is continuing to impress.
