I had an opportunity to make a version of the "St. Wenseclaus" helmet recently, as a prototype for a helmet-building workshop I held. I cut a few technical corners to make the design accessible to my students - like welding the skull from two halves, tinning and etching the design into the nasal and band, using rivets I had on hand, and darkening the non-tinned surfaces with a chemical blackener. For the amount of time I invested in it, I am happy with how it turned out.
Because this is a non-commissioned piece that has served its purpose, it is available for sale. It will fit a 22-23" head, depending on how much padding is used. There is no liner, but I have riveted a leather band in to stitch one to. I can supply a liner at extra cost.
There is a small scuff in the skull that is highlighted in the last picture.
I am asking CDN$550 + shipping ($30 to the US, $20 within Canada, or whatever I get quoted for overseas shipping)

Very nice work Jeff. Pity I don't have the money for it.
