I was checking out these sites, and found their shields be rather appealing. However, I've never heard of any of these companies before, except that Shields And Shoes was recommend on SFI once for good medieval shoes.

Has anyone ever done business with either company, or seen one of their products op close??

I myself like the look of the kiteshield on Bonnacon.

I'm really liking the shape of these shields from S&S:

I bought one of those from S&S a while back, to paint up Bayeux style (very loosely). Very solidly made. Strapping probably too simple to be authentic and the attachments modern, but it handles easily and I was very pleased for the price. I thought the boss too big on at least one of the Bonnacon ones, although he showed me another one with a smaller version, and he'd done some interesting things with strapping on at least one version, based on a tapestry example I think (but I don't have the pictures anymore and my memory is poor). They were both easy to communicate with.
