Hello Gents,

My name is Mark Williams.

I have been a practicing bladesmith for a little over 5 years now. I live in Hampton Virginia.

Sometimes my inspiration for something I make will have no real historic referance. Usually just an idea that pops into my head while I should be sleeping.

I've been working on a knife / short sword and am at a bit of a loss as to how to describe it . I have a feeling that it could be construed as perhaps Persian of Middle Eastern .

If you could have a look and give some insight on this design I sure would appreciate it.

Thanks ,

Mark

Whoah. I like that. Don't know what else you could call it besides a machete, but I like the looks of it. If there are historical equivalents I think they'd be further East than Persia, the general region of Tibet or South-East Asia perhaps.

Or my kitchen, I've a cook's knife almost like that... Big Grin
