Thinking about getting maille for a standard, and i would appriciate any tips on where one might obtain antique maille. As new as 18th century will work. Any good antique armour auction-sites you fine-collectors know of?

As far as arms and armour auction houses, there are several, but not all offer online bidding. Czerny's offer many arms and armour auctions, and currently feature listings on eBay live acutions. Here is a link to some of the armour at Czerny's. Other auction houses that deal in arms and armour include Wallis and Wallis and Hermann Historica. Bonham's also have a nice arms and armour department.
Regarding reputable dealers that currently have some maille in their inventories, you could try Garth Vincent and Fagan Arms. For dealers that occasionally have maille, try Michael D. Long, Peter Finer, LionGate Arms and Armor, West Street Antiques, The Lanes Armoury, or Rod Akeroyd and Son.
Good Luck!
