Sorry to resurrect this old thread/topic, but I was wondering if anyone bought any coins from By-The-Sword? Namely, I'm interested in the Henry VI sterling silver groat (to insert them into the pommel recesses of an Albion sword) and was also wondering what the width of these coins were? I've attempted e-mail, but no response yet. I may just give them a call soon instead but wanted to get some possible feedback from the folks here about their products/customer service before I drop $50+. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure I bought their Edward I replica coins when I customized my Albion Sovereign. Service was good, and the coins worked perfectly for that purpose.

Their customer service has, in my experience, been quite good. I can't vouch for their coins though.

I also bought the Edward I-III coin ffrom them a while back. I don't remember any problems with the transaction. (in spite of my rant at the beginning of this thread about an earlier problem with them).

The dimensions of that coin replica are (in inches)

.033 thick
.755 diameter - very slightly smaller than a U.S. nickel

It looks like it is the same size as the Henry VI coin, but can't say for sure

Very nice work! I'd love to have the look of silver to contrast the antiqued hilt furniture of my particular sword.Hopefully the size isn't too big or too small since the width I have to work with is 0.85", according to Albion's specs. (I'll have to measure it more carefully myself to make sure.) Wound up sick and bed-ridden all day today but I'll give By The Sword a call tomorrow, definitely. Thanks for the pictures and feedback!
