Oakeshott Type XII Swords Description This desktop wallpaper features the Next Generation Knight sword as produced by Albion Armorers. It features an Oakeshott Type XII blade. Type XII swords are archetypical knightly single-handed swords. They are well-balanced weapons to be used with a shield or without, mounted or on foot. They are probably the most common swords to be found during the high Middle Ages. These swords almost always exhibit the characteristic fuller and taper steadily to an acute point.
