Michael there must be an interesting story here.   
One, to play with and possibly damage through normal wear and tear ( not abused , just used doing heavy cutting ).
Two to keep pristine.
Three for investment purposes ???
Or some other reason like buying them all up so that only you have the best sword Albion makes ? ( From what I have read from you in the past you think that it's the best handling sword you have ever handled ).  
You can easily give up your freedom. You have to fight hard to get it back!

Newest sword I've brought home (there's a Ringeck in my office; no space at the moment to keep it here without a scabbard).
Two-handed jian, Zhisword Long-Biao 2-Handed Chinese Jian FJ418. (They have clearer photos than mine at http://www.zhisword.com/index.php?main_page=p...cts_id=520.)
The specs:
Length, overall: 145 cm, 57"
Length, blade: 100 cm, 39.5"
Length of ricasso: 24 cm, 9.5"
Length, grip (+ pommel): 41.5 cm, 16"
Width at ricasso: 38.5 mm
Width at tip: 28.2 mm
Thickness at ricasso: 9.5 mm
Thickness at tip: 4.5 mm
Weight: 1.97 kg
Point of balance: 9.5 cm below guard, 12 cm below grip
Weight of scabbard: 1.145 kg
Hollow ground, unsharpened.
Should make for a nice 2-handed sword for safe training. Except for the narrow guard and hollow grind, pretty much like a European two-hander of moderate length and light weight. Grip is oval in section, wooden, and a good length, just reaches my elbow. Handles very nicely, and is stiff enough.

OOH, darksword armoury. I hear that theyve been given a very bad rap herebouts, yet ive heard wonderful things from SBG and most who own one. how does it handle? durability? Anything unexpected come up during the order? would you reccomend ppl to buy from them?

From where have you heard bad rep about Darksword? What kind of bad rep? I've only heard that negative things like that they're doing unsharpened swords (which ofcourse can be sharpened) and a little two heavy, but they are suppösed to be tough as hell and able to withstand most things which for the price is very nice.
I've been drooling over their Gothic Two-hander for some time.

Not to be one of those guys that posts this, but the search function is your friend.

I own their Squire, and I've never been entirely satisfied with it.. Too heavy for comfortable use, no distal taper and a rather strange weight distribution, and too many corners cut in general. It was of the old batch, though. I hear they've improved a lot since then, so maybe I would have liked it better if I bought it today.
Basically, if you don't have the money for something fancy and aren't expecting a really awesome sword, they're a decent enough option. Your milage may vary, of course.

yes it seems to be the general consensus that their older stuff is Not-so-awesome. But my reason for asking Brett is that it arrived last week from when he posted. Thats about as new as is it gets, and I'd like to hear his opinion on the new product.

Is it sharp for actual duels or is it meant for fencing? Also, what's the grip made from?

It is for fencing. The blade ends in a nail head (http://www.myArmoury.com/albums/photo/6428.html).
The grip is wire wrapped, 1 large strand followed by 2 braided strands. The epee is peened together.
