The curved base plate of the pommel is 2-2.5cm thick in the centre, but the upper section is quite thin, probably only 12mm thick at most.Still hammering away

The older version of the M.D.W. Cawood sword has a broader blade than the newer version but has no Lombardic inscription on it.
Many modern-day reproductions of this sword do not have this inscription engraved on the blade.“You have power over your mind - not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength”
