Was great to see you there, Tom! And Steve and mike and everyone. Hard work doing a show like that, but as pay-off I get to see you guys again before Blade. It was a good time, saw some great stuff from Albion and Vince (well, duh!) Also a surprise- a new maker of modern/tactical stuff that genuinely 'gets it,' Brian Little (sic?) I'll be testing his new Bainitic 5160 tactical Wakizashi by the end of the month. Looks like the REAL DEAL, but we'll find out! Anyway, it was great seeing you all!

The show was a blast ..... I'm still recovering from a case of A&A overload !
Just way too much to take in ..... Vegas is truly incredible ( the shows as well as the city ) !

It was wonderful seeing old friends Vince & Grace ( many thanks for everything you guys) , Michael 'Tinker' Pearce ( nice work, Michael ), Harlan & Mike (watch them switch-blades fellas ;-) , and finally getting to meet Ben Sweet & his wife(thanks for everything, Ben .... and I'll think about that dare ;-), Tom Bassier ( thanks again Tom for bringing your wonderful pieces to show us ! Over the top or not that Howard Clark was simply amazing, as were your Vince swords! ) , Rob Miller of Lion Gate, Pat Tougher of Scottish Sword & Shield (thanks for the basket-hilt high fellas :-)

Also great seeing Lynn Dawson and her dad Barry (Congratulations again, Lynn), Dan Pfanensteil & his wife (Dan makes some really incredible katana & tanto), Daniel Watson of Angel Sword (excellent baskethilt, Daniel ! ), Sally & Richard Rogers, and just so many of the other talented folks I got to talk with ..... thank you all !

The only bummer was that I missed seeing my old pal Steve Han ..... hopefully we can hookup at the Atlanta show !

I stopped by Angel Swords table, along with Vince, and we had a nice chat with owner Daniel Watson !
Daniel was very gracious and let us play with anything we wished !
We focused in on a very nice baskethilt he'd made, that featured a hilt that was cast from an original John Simpson II , of Glasgow !
The piece felt very nice in hand, with a blade that was light & lively !
One unusual aspect was how the blade was seated to a block instead of directly to the main guard !

This one had a price tag of 8k .
