I don't mean to steal Gus's thunder (I'm very, very sorry if I am), but I just thought everyone here would like to know that Gus has got the first of his sabers (a single hand and a hand and a half) done and did a little cutting with them this weekend. From what he had to say, the folks there were (paraphrase), "more impressed by them than the best katana that have come out of this (his) shop". The first thought that came to my mind was that, although impressive, the katana were really an evolutionary/educational step for him to break new ground in the European front. Cool stuff both ways in any case.

. . . I gently suggested an Eljay basket for the first bastard saber. . . just to get the wheel's turning, of course Big Grin

. . . oh, and one of my swords should be coming back soon from a little freshening up. . .

Can't wait to see some pictures.
It is nice to see Gus broadening his line. Now if only he would make some nice Type 4 Migration swords Big Grin
