A little candy from Czerny's. I love this piece, and not just because my first thought was that this hilt looks like it could have been designed by Edward Gorey. (Those of you who know about Gorey: Don't you think the hilt resembles The Doubtful Guest?) You Alabama natives may also think it bears a striking resemblance to "Jeffrey" the ghost.

That is really a nice piece.
The pommel reminds me of late Roman eagle head pommels on spathas. The fullers look great as well, not to speak of the clipped backedge Cool

More than a passing resembelance to the doubtful guest!
