16th Century Italy

Venetian broad-bladed Renaissance dagger; ebony wooden handle with central ridge, brass accents, pins and end cap; drooping guard; highly distinctive blade with five sculpted longitudinal grooves. Blade and quillions are deeply etched, reproducing a surviving historic example.

Width of guard: 5.375"
Blade: 15.5" long; 3" wide tapering to 1.5"
Grip and pommel: 5.75"
Point of Balance (PoB): 3" from guard

Has a black leather scabbard.
